Spelliosity
Although our focus at SyllaSense is to provide reading material and instruction, we strongly believe in the importance of teaching writing conventions alongside reading instruction. Learning becomes exponentially more powerful when we explicitly link, and help students see the connection between, reading and writing concepts. Because of this, we have included an Orthographic/Conventions (Patterns and Generalisations) section in our Scope and Sequence, and have created Background Information Sheets and Teacher Tip Sheets to provide more information about spelling conventions found in our series.
We’re thrilled to recommend an option for taking this learning a step further. Spelliosity, created by Shari Kudsia, is a fantastic site that offers resources to help students actively practice and apply the spelling conventions they have been taught.
