Yellow Series
Our Yellow Sets provide a great starting point for beginning readers. The following concepts are introduced in our Yellow Sets:
- all short vowels and all single consonants
- consonant digraphs <ck>, <ff>, <ss>, and <zz>
- suffix <-s> as third person singular verb present tense, and as plural
- High-Frequency Words: "a", "and", “the”, and “to"
We currently have 3 sets available:

- Yellow Square: 10 Photo Titles
- Yellow DECK-odables: 150 cards
We have also created Teacher Tip Sheets for each step in our scope and sequence. These are available for free download:
Yellow Series
The first 5 books in the Yellow Series are Fiction (illustrated), and the final 5 books are Photo. The first few books of the series have short phrases as well as sentences to help beginning readers build their confidence.
The font is large with extra spacing between words and lines, and we use a font with the single storey <a>.
Yellow Square

We are thrilled to introduce our Yellow Square Set. It is essential for students to have multiple opportunities to practice each literacy concept. Our Yellow Square Set follows the Yellow Series Scope and Sequence, providing an additional book at each step to reinforce learning and build confidence.
