Series Update

Greetings to all our valued SyllaSense customers.

We would like to begin this letter with an apology. We have underestimated the enthusiasm for our books, and as a result, we are about to run out of stock of some of our sets, the Blue Series in particular.

To explain the full impact to you, however, we need to fill in some of the details that have been in the works at SyllaSense over the past few months.

We regularly work with our customers, collecting and addressing both positive and negative feedback from them. We are proud that almost all of the feedback has been positive, and that those areas where we have issues are relatively easy to address. Two of the issues identified relate to how we name the different sets of books and how the technical information is presented on the back covers of the books. 

To address these issues, we needed to update the back cover and ISBN for each book. Seeing as we were updating the covers, we took the opportunity to extend the licenses of some of the images used in our books, and update several photos that were no longer available. Aside from this, no changes have been made to the content of the books. 

We have been carefully planning and creating resources that explain these changes, including blog posts, social media campaigns, and other events. We have just had a number of excellent sales, and though we are truly grateful, we have suddenly run out of both stock and time to post our messaging.

There will be more information coming soon, but here are the key points for the changes coming soon to our SyllaSense product lineup:

• Our various sets of books are being renamed – the “Yellow Series” will become the “Yellow Circle”, the “Red Series” will become the “Red Circle”, and so on. All sets of books that have “Series” in their names will instead become “Circle”. Note: the new Yellow Square will not change its name.
• All of our existing “bundles” will also have matching changes. For example, the “Full Series Bundle” will become the “Circle-Full Bundle”
• The back cover of our books has been rearranged to make the information more readable and to clearly indicate which set each book belongs to. You can see what they will look like if you already have a set of the Yellow Square books.
• We are adjusting our prices – we have been able to keep or reduce the price of our single sets of books, but we can no longer offer as deep a discount on our classroom sets of books. We have been able to keep the price increases on our classroom sets to less than 2%. The last time we increased prices was 18 months ago.

We were planning to announce these changes at the end of July, with the changes to be implemented starting September 1, 2025. This would give everyone a clear roadmap of the changes coming, and to plan their purchasing accordingly. 

As it happens, though, we have to announce instead that we’re about to run out of stock on some of our sets. Additionally, our new books are only scheduled to arrive in mid to late August, so we don’t yet have the new books available to sell.

This means the following will be happening in the short term:

• On Monday, July 28, we will suspend online sales of our books as we rework the website. 
• When sales resume, we will put the remaining items from our existing inventory on sale on a first-come, first-served basis (excluding Yellow Square and Yellow DECK-odables, which will remain unchanged). 
• The sale price will be for single sets only, and bundles and classroom sets of the remaining books will not be available. 
• To honour the first-come, first-served nature of the sale, we will only be offering the sale items through our website – we are not able to provide estimates, or wait for purchase orders for these items – we can’t “reserve” the stock.
• The updated sets of books will be activated online as soon as we get them all in stock. We anticipate that this will occur in mid-to-late August. They will be priced at the current prices until the end of August. As of September 1, 2025, our new prices will come into effect.
• Any estimates we provide from now on will be for the updated versions of the sets. 
• Incoming purchase orders will be fulfilled using the updated books upon arrival (mid-to-late August). Bear with us, as our fulfillment times will be extended while we await the arrival of the new sets. We will contact the affected customers to ensure a smooth transition.

We plan to provide more information on the changes coming to our products, and offer further details on how the transition to the updated sets of books and prices will occur. In the meantime, we have attached our updated price list, which will take effect on September 1, 2025.
